Possathorn Watcharapanit
(1999, Phimai, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand)
He graduated Film Study Major at the School of Digital Media & Cinematic Arts, Bangkok University. He's a filmmaker interested in contemporary art. He made many films in many positions, such as a Screenwriter, Director, Producer, Editor, and Colorist. Possathorn is also interested in the fields of borderless moving images with multiple mediums. He put his moving images to connect many mediums. such as painting, poetry, photography, activity, and installation. Currently, Possathorn is working on the project titled “Rivulet of Universe” his first feature film that uses a small local narrative to explore an overlapping area of cultural identities that represents pre-human beings to nation-states. He expanded his process of concept, researching, writing, and filmography into the art exhibition "Real Rhythm of Rivulet".
In another role as a community activist, He saw art as not a piece of aesthetic but a community experience where relational aesthetics can change perception towards common events in daily life. He has transformed a quaint second-floor Thai house into the dynamic "PoonPin" art space to connect with the local artist and film community, cultivating a vibrant hub for artistic exchange.
Possathorn's art seeks to harmonize the past, present, and future, inviting audiences to join him in exploring the limitless possibilities of creativity. His artwork asks and introspect into the philosophy of existence in overly uncertain contemporary social, political, economic, and cultural.
